  • EUS Short Term Fellowship Programme at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad (Department of Gastroenterology)

    We personally feel EUS is no more a fancy investigation, it has become the common helping hand in the diagnostic armamentarium of gastroenterology complementing clinical and radiological assessments.The department offers various training courses of variable time duration for sharpening your endoscopic ultrasound skills. These programs are designed to offer comprehensive training and education in the field of interventional endoscopy equipping fellows with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent clinicians in the field along with research opportunities under the guidance of renowned gastroenterologists.This is a two weeks (10-15 days) training programme which covers basic to therapeutic EUS. It’s a paid training course and the participant will be allowed hands-on training on diagnostic and a few types of therapeutic EUS under supervision from expert faculty. 1-2 candidates will be taken for this course, and it will be conducted on a monthly basis.

    Aims

    The aim is to impact high quality training in Endoscopic Ultrasound Basics and Therapeutics like FNAC, FN Biopsy, Celiac Plexus BlockThe goal is to train the endoscopists who are starting their career and disseminate the knowledge for quality patient care

    Eligibility Requirements

    Candidates are selected through an interview process after reviewing the candidates applications submitted through the hospital portal.Candidates are expected to have completed and passed their specialty exams (DM or DrNB) before joining these courses.

    Course Fee Structure

    The Course Fee is 1.5 lakh Rupees.All payments are to be done to the KIMS Hospitals accountPayment through cheque, DD and online transfers are accepted.Cash payments are not accepted. All payments are to be made before joining the course, part payments are not accepted.

    • Trainees will be attached to the endoscopy department mainly and will do procedures routine and therapeutics.
    • All procedures, both diagnostic and therapeutic, will be done under the supervision of the teaching consultant.

      Certificate
      • A certificate of completion of EUS basics training will be provided
      Accommodation, food facilities and transport
      • Trainee will be provided access to the hospital doctors canteen and food cards will be provided (payment for same at their own expense). Help will be provided in finding accommodation, however trainees have to make their own arrangements for stay and transport.
