Dr. Bharath Kumar Ayapati

Dr. Bharath Kumar Ayapati is an experienced Medical Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist, and Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist with over 17 years of clinical experience. He recently joined the KAGE team at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, bringing a strong background in endoscopic ultrasound and advanced therapeutic endoscopy.

His practice covers a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, with particular procedural depth in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) — both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. His published research spans EUS-guided interventional techniques, image-enhanced endoscopy for polyp characterization, and the role of EUS in identifying chronic pancreatitis in patients with recurrent acute pancreatitis of unclear cause.

Dr. Ayapati's practice is concentrated in endoscopic ultrasound and therapeutic endoscopy. He performs upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy, including colon polyp removal — image-enhanced polyp characterisation is one of his published research areas — and EUS-guided intervention for pancreatic and biliary disease.
